Furthermore, I decided to mix Japanese style into my design. Implementing Japanese style into my design may make the space clutter-free. What I mean by this is that space will not over occupied with piles of furniture, equipment, etcetera. This is due to the units I develop. The units hold a key feature onto them, which is expandable storage, and thus the user this store whatever excessive luggage or equipment is in them.
The essential amenities of any apartment; a bathroom, kitchen area, living space, and sleeping space—are packed into the minimal area using multifunctional or flexible furniture and storage, such as movable kitchen islands, etcetera.
Relating to transformable furniture, I researched the firm Unstudio which used module units in space, and that helped me further develop my units and project. I used this as a steppingstone to blend this and Japanese style partitioning of walls and etcetera.
